Post Finem - Lighting

Hello all!
Lighting a creature and a character in a cinematic was a first for me. I aimed to veil the Envoy of some mystery by trying to enhance its silhouette, while I went for good old Rembrandt lighting and split face lighting setups for the Narrator. I enjoyed playing with the contrasts of teal and warmth(maybe sometimes a big dramatic but who doesn't like drama in lighting?)

Couldn't have done without our precious Environement\Vegetation Artist Lorick Lussier-Lavoie! Toward the end of the project, we constantly exchanged lighting passes. It was great to have another pair of eyes to review the lighting!

Many thanks to my mentors for their guidance, Laura Lopez and William Labrie.

A man completing a long journey finds himself on the threshold of his final judgment. He reflects on the past, revealing the inexorable fall of a pre-Renaissance world devastated by the merciless emissaries of an invading entity. The latter is hidden under the appearance of a tree which breathes life through death.
